Make friends with her. Find out if you like her as a person. Then, once you know for sure that you love her or not, if you do and your friendship wont be damaged by it, and are hanging out with a group of friends (preferably pro-gay marriage ppl!) start talking politics. steer the conversation to gay marriage, what do they think? What her responce is should help you know how to act next. This sounds like currently just infatuation, but if you want to, you should get to know eachother better then let your heart sort it out.
