I think that most guests (especially older ones) are going to appreciate the detail cards. I know that I'd rather RSVP with my meal choice knowing about the meal. It doesn't make sense to send that separately. Also, if the guests are anything like me, they would like getting everything at once so that everything is in one spot, they won't have 12 envelopes and cards everywhere to keep track of.....not to mention the paper and money waste in additional mailings.
