Thomas Jefferson;s reaction to George Washington's Farewell Address?

Hi, I was reading a book about George Washington and it has reference to Jefferson many times throughout. I read and reread and I still can't put a finger on Jefferson's actual reaction (physical OR psychological) to the address. Any help? Specifics are great, because the book is quite confusing.
