Are Moslems better off if we listen to them, or if we don't?

I don't believe that it is as cut and dried as you seem to think. In Christianity we have numerous denominations who think differently from each other. Even so, most Christians would be highly offended if all Christians were judged by the actions of Timothy Mc Vey. Muslims feel the same way. I am a benevolent person so when I read the Koran, I did not see the aggression that Osama Bin Laden sees. What I saw was metaphors similar to the Bible. In the bible the Lord says, "An eye for an eye" but He also says, "Turn the other cheek." It is up to us as individuals to develop the qualities that will permit us to judge when to "Turn the other cheek" and when not to. That's called wisdom. Bin Laden is no different from Timothy Mc Vey. For whatever reason, they seek out only the aggressive sections in the Bible and totally ignore the peace full sections. Neither of them nor their cohorts are good examples of their religion because they have never found balance and wisdom, but that should not reflect on the all Christians or all Muslims.
