Poets, do we love more those things we understand we must lose?

Even though life is by nature temporal it often seems that its aspects of whose impermanence I am most acutely aware engage my emotions most deeply. That your poem concludes with a mournful persistence amid autumn's detachment suggests a similar vulnerability and a similar stoicism. Thank you for sharing your lyrical perception. As an aside, in line 8, did you means to end with wields, rather than yields?
